Inside Harolds Club’s Covered Wagon Casino in later years
Harolds Club, a casino that debuted in Reno, Nevada in 1935, displayed signs on its property that read:
“No one can win all the time. Harolds Club advises you to risk only what you can afford to lose.”

Harold also would give partial refunds to people that lost too much. Bus fare home or a meal. They were admonished to not use this money to gamble. I remember seeing those signs in the 70s
